Box Office Cashier

To providing a quality front line service to customers. Dealing with customer queries. Handling counter, telephone and internet bookings.

Hours:  Casual shifts, depending on show scheduled

Person Specification: Experience in money handling • Experience of customer care  • Work well under pressure •Computer literate • Confident with dealing with customers face to face and has a good Telephone manner •  Competent in delivering quick & efficient sales in an often busy sales environment; numerically competent.

Desirable experience in working in a theatre environment.

Front of House Staff 

Working in conjunction with the Front of House Manager / Duty Manager  and team at Hackney Empire to deliver a friendly & efficient service to our customers.

Hours:  Casual shifts, depending on show scheduled

Key Responsibilities:

  • To maintain a friendly, helpful and competent service with fellow employees and everyone that comes into contact with the theatre.
  • Working with your fellow employees & Duty Manager to ensure the theatre is consistently presented to a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness and functionality.
  • Front of House Assistants can be expected to carry out a number of specific duties during their call including the roles of door person, usher & sales staff.
  • To undertake any other reasonable requests as required by the Front of House Manager / Duty Manager.

Person Specification:

  • Competent in delivering high standards of customer service; to all theatre visitors.
  • A friendly persona and a team player.
  • Organised and  capable of prioritising and carry out numerous responsibilities in an efficient manner.
  • Competent in delivering quick & efficient sales in an often busy sales environment; numerically competent.
  • Competent in delivering targets within agreed timescales.
  • Willingness & flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • An understanding of the front of house department within a theatre.
  • A genuine interest in the live entertainment industry.
