Front of House Assistants

Working in conjunction with the General Manager, Duty Managers and wider staff team to deliver a friendly and efficient service to our customers.

Hours:

Casual shifts depending on show schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To maintain a friendly, helpful and competent service with fellow team members and everyone that comes into contact with the theatre.
  • Working with your fellow team members and the Duty Manager to ensure the theatre is consistently presented to a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness and functionality.
  • Front of House Assistants can be expected to carry out a number of specific duties during their call including the roles of door person, usher and sales staff.
  • To undertake any other reasonable requests as required by the General Manager / Duty Manager or Customer Experience and Sales Manager
  • Ensuring that all company policies, including health and safety, are complied with by all staff at all times

Person Specification:

  • Competent in delivering high standards of customer service; to all theatre visitors.
  • A friendly persona and a team player.
  • Organised and capable of prioritising and carrying out numerous responsibilities in an efficient manner.
  • Competent in delivering quick and efficient sales in an often busy environment; numerically competent.
  • Competent in delivering targets within agreed timescales.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to arrive on time and be ready to start work when the shift commences

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • An understanding of the front of house department within a theatre.
  • A genuine interest in the live entertainment industry.

Box Office Customer Experience Assistant

We are looking to recruit for casual staff to join our team in the box office for the autumn & Christmas period.

Casual shifts depending on show schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with the Customer Experience and Sales Manager, the Box Office will be responsible for the day to day running of the box office operation including;

  • Customer ticket bookings.
  • Ensuring that the highest standards of presentation and customer service are maintained at all times.
  • Ensuring that all company policies, including health and safety, are complied with by all staff at all times.
  • Taking a proactive approach to customer service and sales.
  • Liaising with agents, producers, programming and marketing teams to ensure that ticketing requests are actioned accurately and swiftly.

Person Specification:

  • Competent in delivering high standards of customer service; to all theatre visitors in person, on the phone and online.
  • A friendly persona and a team player.
  • Organised and capable of prioritising and carrying out numerous responsibilities in an efficient manner.
  • Competent in delivering quick and efficient sales in an often busy environment.
  • Numerically competent.
  • Competent in completing tasks within an agreed timeframe.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to arrive on time and be ready to start work when the shift commences.

What you can demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An ability to motivate and develop within a small team in a sales environment.
  • A passion for ticketing and theatre.
  • Experience using ticketing systems, preferably the Spektrix system.

This is a casual part time role working a mixture of daytime, evenings and weekends.

Theatre Bar Staff

We are looking for bar staff to join us in reopening this September.

After being closed throughout the pandemic we are back and are looking for enthusiastic bar staff to provide a great experience to all of our customers.

You will provide excellent customer service to a wide range of audience members within a diverse programme including comedy, drama, opera, music, pantomime… and more!

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a bartender/working behind a bar is ideal.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • To be able to assess customer needs and preferences and make recommendations.
  • The ability to restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Experience using EPOS systems.
  • Being both organised and adaptable when working in an intense and fast-paced environment.
