Calling aspiring actors, filmmakers and directors! A film project for participants, 14-19 years old.
This film intensive is designed to give you the starter kit to make your own on-screen work. Produce, act, shoot and edit a short scene guided by Industry Professionals.
The project will run from Sat 23rd Jun 10am-6pm, Sun 24th Jun 12pm-7pm & Tuesday 26th June 5pm-8pm. Please note You must be available for all the dates of the programme if you are offered a place.
Lauren Lyle is an actor and producer. Lauren’s acting work has spanned from the critically acclaimed ‘The Crucible’ at The Old Vic Theatre to the BBCs BAFTA award winning drama ‘Broken’. She is currently appearing as Marsali Fraser in Sony/Starz hit TV show ‘Outlander’ and has a new feature film Tell It To The Bee’s previewing within the ‘Great 8’ at the Cannes Film Festival 2018. Lauren recently produced short film Apply Within which was selected for the 2018 BFI Future Film Festival and is set to write and direct a number of upcoming films this year.
Beginning his earlier career in stage school, Sylvia Young, in theatre his recent performance at VAULTS Festival physical theatre piece Boys which won ‘Outstanding New Work Award.’ Prior to this he had played the lead role in Susie McKenna’s adaption Macbeth play at Edinburgh Fringe Festival which continued at Hackney Empire. His most recent screen roles include playing lead role in Epiphany short film, BBC3 pilot film Clued Up, aspiring boxer in ‘Left Behind,’ and sci-fi drama ‘Capture’ which he also produced and was accepted in Short Film Corner in 70th Cannes film festival, Sci-Fi London film festival and still being submitted to Festivals this year. All off many projects that have helped him receive further recognition as a very skilled young actor. His warm husky voice has granted him extra recognition doing voice overs and commercials for brands such as Volvic, Puma, and Adidas.
Finally, this would be Andre’s third year emerging as a producer covering several short films, theatre pieces and a commercial for BBC 1 Extra. Andre continues to develop his first feature film as he proves once again that his skills transcend acting.
