Off the back of the success of last year’s show, Jonny Woo returns to the Hackney Empire stage, bringing his evening of chaos, fun and carnage with him.
Held over two nights, this year’s Un-Royal Variety promises to be an even bigger and bolder extravaganza than the last.
Featuring new material from US drag-punk sensation, CHRISTEENE, award-winning operatic comic Jayde Adams, and Lucy McCormick, fresh from the success of Triple Threat.
Joining Jonny and his cohorts on stage are maverick Australian performer Leah Shelton, Frank Lavender, Myra Dubois, Peter & Bambi Heaven (La Soiree’s Asher Treleaven and Gypsy Wood – Miss Cage Dance Australia), Le Gateau Chocolat, Diane Chorley AKA The Duchess Of Canvey plus an array of auspicious guests including Bourgeois & Maurice, Lavinia Co-Op, lip-synching sensation Frieda Slaves and the darlings of last year’s show, The Kate Middleton Choir, led by composer Richard Thomas, musical director of Jerry Springer: The Opera. Music courtesy of Nostalgia Of Mothership.
With a line-up of some of the finest talents across cabaret, dance, queer and fringe theatre, Jonny Woo’s Un-Royal Variety is set to entertain and delight the crowd again. Last year sold out. This year will too. Don’t dither – you’ll regret it.
