It’s the 1980’s and we’re in the East End of London. Spoiler alert… Eddy, our main character, murders his father and marries his mother. This is a rowdy, comical and full-throttled re-imagining of the Oedipus myth.
Greek is a powerful opera by Mark-Anthony Turnage, based on the play by Stephen Berkoff. ETO’s new production is directed by Jonathan Moore, who has worked with Turnage from Greek’s inception. Conducted by Tim Anderson.
