SOMEWHERE FESTIVAL – CARL BARAT + PETER DOHERTY
WILL UNITE FOR A UNIQUE PERFORMANCE
We are thrilled to announce SOMEWHERE Festival is coming to London. Successfully launched in Tokyo earlier this year, the international music festival will take up residence in London’s Hackney Empire in September, kicking off with the reunion of Carl Barât and Peter Doherty for two nights of dazzling musicianship and song. The theatre will be illuminated with exactly one thousand and one candles.
On 6 Sept Carl Barât and Peter Doherty will be joined on stage by Mineta Kazunobu from Ging Nang Boyz.
SOMEWHERE originated in Shibuya, Tokyo in April 2019 and saw Phoenix, JUSTICE, Carl Barât, Friendly Fires and Basement Jaxx all take to the stage.
Their mission is to bring cultural excitement and new ideas into special venues around the world. With distinctive staging and the stunning backdrop of their trademark 1001 candles, they create a unique ambience that has received great acclaim in Japan. The London event will be the first international appearance of SOMEWHERE.
