Our dance and drama auditions are this Saturday 6th July. If you would still like to audition but haven’t received an audition slot please email Projects@hackneyempire.co.uk.  You will need to attend the group audition for dance or drama, timings are as below.

Our Artist Development Programme (ADP) is a two-week summer programme giving a company of 40 young artists aged 13-19 the opportunity to create an original piece of musical theatre. 

 Chosen through an audition process and guided by some of the best industry professionals, young actors, musicians, dancers, designers and singers and rappers will finesse their crafts and compose, write, choreograph, design and perform their own show placing their own realities and experiences on the Hackney Empire main stage. Guided by top industry professionals, young actors, musicians, dancers, singers, rappers and designers will compose, write, choreograph, design and perform their show on the Hackney Empire main stage.

Music, Vocals and Spoken Word Auditions: 23^rd June, 10am-5pm

Dance, Drama and Design Auditions: 6^th July, 10am-5pm

(Drama  Audition slots have all been filled –however please email projects@hackneyempire.co.uk if you’re interested. )

You will need to be available for the dates of the project which are as follows-

Inspiration Day: 27^th July

Week 1: 29^th July- 2^nd August

Week 2: 5^th August- 9^th August

The Artist Development Programme is a collaborative project, however if successful you will be selected into one specialism. You can audition for more than one strand but please let us know your 1^st preference.

Music, Vocals and Spoken Word Auditions: 23^rd June, 10am-5pm

The audition for Music and Vocals will take place as an individual slot.  

Dance Auditions: 6^th July, 10am-1pm

The audition for dance will take place as a group workshop, followed by a short interview. You will need to stay for both.

Drama Auditions: 6^th July, 1:30pm-2:30pm followed by an individual slot from 2:30pm-6pm

The audition for drama include a group workshop, followed by an individual audition slot. You will need to stay for both.

Design Interviews
