Hackney Empire’s Artist Development Programme (ADP) returns with a two-week summer series exploring music, drama, dance and behind-the-scenes, delivered like never before, from 3rd August
Despite COVID-19, ADP is resolute in its mission to empower young artists to develop their craft and create – safely. This year’s programme will take place online, but will, as ever, focus on super-charging the personal and professional development of participants with the opportunity for all to platform their voices and talents.
Workshops, Q&As and talks with leading industry insiders will help inspire young artists to create their own work with the tools they have – plus there will be advice and tips on how to build and engage your audience.
First started in 2000, ADP develops the next generation of young artists. Every year, these two weeks of intensive support and guidance have helped hundreds of young performers get into the arts industry, with many of them returning as mentors to help the next generation finesse their talents. Typically, every year sees 50 young performers compose, write, choreograph and perform an exhilarating piece of original musical theatre on Hackney Empire’s main stage.
