A night of unforgettable talent at Alter Ego 2025

Hackney Empire buzzed with excitement as Alter Ego returned on Fri 14 Feb, featuring the best 14 – 18 year old singers, rappers, dancers and spoken word artists East London has to offer. Our winner on the night was Jaye!

This year’s competition welcomed an incredible line-up of 10 finalists, who came to dazzle the audience with their exceptional skills in singing, rapping, dancing, and spoken word artistry. With over 1,000 attendees gathered to witness the remarkable performances and cheer on their favourite acts, the atmosphere was electric.. Ultimately, the crown went to Jaye, whose stunning vocal performance captivated both the judges and the audience alike.

Alongside singer Jaye. the finalists for Alter Ego 2025 included singer - songwriters Akilah, Louie Forward, Rua-Lilias,Quiana and Xan Versais, rappers Lems, Talzz and Mallyx2 and spoken word artist Kenya-Ariah who all performed alongside special guests headliners including Kiaro Keyz, 163Margs, Kali Claire, and last years’ winner Rain and DJ Suavey. The event was hosted by content creator Zayzz and TikTok sensation NicholePW.
